About

About KemetLeads

An independent intelligence platform on African leadership — who we are, and how every profile is built.

What KemetLeads is

KemetLeads profiles the great leaders of Africa — past and present — and comments on the news that matters. It exists for professionals, students, and the diaspora who need to understand the continent through the people who shape it, without the two usual distortions: uncritical worship or dismissive caricature.

Our methodology

Every profile follows the same editorial discipline, in four parts: the rise (how they came to prominence), what they did (their concrete achievements), the full picture (the honest complexity — criticism, controversy, cost), and why it matters (what their story teaches about African leadership). Celebrating real greatness while refusing to look away from complexity is the product.

Profiles are editorial summaries compiled from public historical sources; dates and facts are checked against the historical record, and portraits are sourced from Wikimedia Commons under their respective licenses. When a figure is contested, we say so — the goal is a fair reading, not a verdict.

Who is behind it

KemetLeads is independently built and edited by Max Codjo. It is not affiliated with any government, party, or institution. Questions, corrections, and suggestions are welcome at max@stratomix.org.
