Sadio Mané
Football star & philanthropist
The superstar who built a hospital and a school for his village instead of buying supercars.
The rise
From the remote Senegalese village of Bambali, Mané rose to football stardom in Europe and won the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal.
What they did
He poured his earnings back home — building a school, a hospital and more in his village — becoming a model of grounded, generous success.
The full picture
Injuries and the weight of expectation have tested him, but his humility and giving have defined his public image.
Why it matters
Mané reframed what wealth is for, making philanthropy the heart of his story.
“Why would I want ten Ferraris? I built a hospital and a school instead.”
