Their words
“My father Amun-Re, Lord of the Thrones of the Two Lands, has worked for me these four fine wonders in a single year, in the sixth year of my appearance as king; nothing like them had been done since the time of the ancestors.”
As reported by Hugues Perdriaud · Kawa Stela V, lines 10-11 (regnal year 6, c. 685 BCE), Temple T at Kawa, Sudan; French translation in ENiM 12 (2019), p. 284, after M. F. Laming Macadam (1949)
Context The stela was raised in the temple forecourt at Kawa in Nubia and dates the four wonders to a sixth regnal year in which an exceptional Nile flood was followed by an unusually large harvest.
